The Kern River is Southern California's favorite for whitewater rafting. Just a few hours from Los Angeles, the Kern River features miles and miles of varying whitewater rafting runs with Class II to Class V rapids. We've been outfitting on the Kern since 1980 and have trips for every ability and interest.

Rafting the Lower Kern is the favorite overnight whitewater rafting trip in Southern California. We have the best and most comfortable camp on the river and you will be amazed at the sumptuous meals our guides cook up. One and half-day trips are also available on the Lower section. An ideal section for family rafting. Our season runs from May through September.
The Upper Kern near the historic town of Kernville is a superb day stretch of whitewater rafting. We offer trips every day from April through July and have half day and shorter lickety split trips for groups.
The Forks of the Kern is a wilderness jewel originating near Mount Whitney. Trips here feature long stretches of Class IV-V rapids and stunning canyon and mountain views. These three day trips are not suitable for youth or novice rafters.
